Mamta Mohandas is an Indian playback singer actress and film producer. She has also appeared in Tamil and Telugu movies. She has appeared in over 50 movies and has received numerous honors including two Filmfare Awards South for Best Female Playback Singer in Telugu in 2006 and Best Actress in Malayalam in 2010 as well as the Kerala State Film Award for Second Best Actress in 2010.
She has established Mamta Mohandas Productions as the name of her own film production firm. She received training in Hindustani and Carnatic music. She contributed her vocals to the Rakhi soundtrack's Rakhi Rakhi song (2006). For the song she was given the best female vocalist prize.

Mamta Mohandas was born to Kannur Malayali parents Ambalappat and Ganga Mohandas. Her father is a banker who is employed with Bank of America and Meryl Lynch. On December 28 2011 in a secluded resort near Kozhikode Mamta wed businessman and childhood friend Prajith Padmanabhan. On December 12 2012 they filed for divorce.
Mamta was a student at the Bahrain Indian School until 2002. She attended Mount Carmel College in Bangalore to work on a bachelor's degree in computer science.
She acted in print advertisements for brands like IBM and Kalyan Kendra and walked the catwalk for Raymonds and the Mysore Maharajah. Mamta has received training in both Hindustani and Carnatic music.
