Amarjit Singh’s Career

Amarjit Singh’s Career Tring

Amarjit Singh Kiyam was born in Thoubal, a tiny Manipur town 25 kilometers from Imphal. Speaking about his humble beginnings, Amarjit stated that his mother, a fish vendor, and his farmer father always supported and pushed him to play football. At the age of five, he started playing football after his older brother Umakanta, who was already a fan.

After beginning their training with Deben Singh, the father of Jeakson Singh, a teammate in the U-17 age group, the two kids traveled to Chandigarh in 2011 to train at CFA (Chandigarh Football Academy). Amarjit Singh Kiyam's adventure started in this manner. He was seen by national selectors in 2015 while on one of the exposure tours to Goa and has been working with the AIFF academy since then.

Amarjit Singh Kiyam was selected as the team's captain after being asked to do so by head coach Luis Norton de Matos. He received 26 out of the team's 27 votes, making him the team's undisputed top pick.

Amarjit Singh Kiyam, a Manipur native, was a member of the AIFF Elite Academy group practicing for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup, which will be held in India. He led the India U-17 team in competition in the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup. Amarjit was chosen to play for the All India Football Federation-owned Indian Arrows after the competition in order to give under-20 youngsters in India playing time. In the season opener for the Arrow against Chennai City, he made his team's professional debut. He began the game and participated throughout it, when Indian Arrows won 3-0.

Amarjit Singh Kiyam received his first dismissal on December 29, 2017, after he received a second yellow card in the 64th minute of the Indian Arrows' game against Mohun Bagan. He was given a contract by Jamshedpur FC after a successful season, but the young player was returned to the Arrows on loan to continue his development.

During the 2019–20 season, Amarjit Singh Kiyam made his Hero ISL debut with Jamshedpur FC. He switched to FC Goa during the January transfer window, nevertheless, after not receiving enough opportunities in the Hero ISL 2020–21. He joined SC East Bengal on a loan prior to the 2021–22 season after making two appearances in the ISL and four in the subsequent AFC Champions League.

As a replacement for Pronay Halder in the opening match against Curaçao at the 2019 King's Cup, Amarjit Singh Kiyam represented the Indian national team. He joined the senior team as the first player born after 2000. Floyd Pinto's team needed Amarjit Singh Kiyam, and after a number of impressive displays, Igor Stimac decided to call him up for his first national camp. In the Super Cup earlier this year, when he scored twice for Indian Arrow to defeat Kerala Blasters in the qualifying round, he turned in one of his best performances on a big stage.

In Amarjit Singh Kiyam's first game in command of the Blue Tigers, a technically adept Curacao team completely destroyed the Indian defense. Stimac had the bravery to bring the 18-year-old into the midfield with Raynier Fernandes. That strengthened the group, and Amarjit in particular did a great job.
Leandro Bacuna, a former Premier League star, and other physically and technically superior Curacao players came under constant pressure from Amarjit Singh Kiyam, who helped India stop their leaks. It was expected that he would start the match against Thailand. He was selected for the team for the September 2019 matches against Oman and Qatar that served as FIFA World Cup qualifiers for 2022, but he was forced to withdraw due to an arm injury.

Amarjit Singh is a person who has succeeded through dedication and hard work alone. He exhibits a particular tenacity that makes him a prized midfield player for coaches. His development into an important member of India's younger teams and the Indian Arrows, who compete in the I-League, is proof of that.
