To develop and promote Charcoal Project the first interior fashion design store in India in Mumbai in 2011 she teamed up with fellow designer and renowned film producer Gauri Khan.

Sussanne Khan a well-known interior designer who recently found herself embroiled in controversy following reports that an FIR had been filed against her in Goa has released a statement claiming that her ex-husband Hrithik Roshan is by her side like the Rock of Gibraltar. In a recent statement Sussanne stated that Hrithik is absolutely behind me and supports me completely. According to a recent news source Sussanne was recently arrested by Panaji police in connection with an alleged Rs 1.87 crore fraud case by Emgee Enterprises. 

Emgee Enterprises claimed that Sussanne had misrepresented herself as an architect to obtain a contract with a business. When you work for a company that does excellent work many people will want to discredit you ridicule you and bring you down. She stated that I am a single mother who works and will not be impacted by shit. Sussanne said that she was in London when the whole situation arose. For the Coldplay concert I spent four days in London. The children were in Mumbai with Hrithik (actor and ex-husband Hrithik Roshan).
