The four of them eventually succeed in getting permission, and they prepare. The next morning, she drives them to the game and makes a detour at her clinic to get some crucial paperwork. She instructs everyone to remain in the vehicle. After some time, Dabboo exits the vehicle and finds a nearby location to relieve himself. He observes Dr. Sonali being taken hostage by goons from there. As a thug takes off his mask, he notices one of the faces. After returning to the car, Dabboo's pals see something is awry from the look on his face but quickly disregard it because he is unable to communicate. The four get bored as time goes on. With the exception of Dabboo, they all exit the vehicle to search for Dr. Sonali. They disperse and head in different directions. They become aware that the automobile is missing. Raja then makes a second appearance and joins the group as they travel to a nearby traffic stop, where they meet Dabboo and report Dr. Sonali missing. Then Raja suggests that they should phone Sonali's spouse and let him know what has happened. They learn that he is at a hotel after receiving his phone number from the traffic station. When the crew discovers him there, he receives a call from a man informing him that Sonali has been found and is safe, which makes them suspect that he was responsible for the kidnapping. The person that Dabboo observed kidnapping Sonali is the one who captures them. They succeed in getting away, and they proceed to Shikha's workplace to ask for assistance. They take Sanyal hostage during the Star Awards event after she reluctantly accepts. They force him to declare that he will offer Rs 50 million to anyone who can help them locate Sonali. Sanyal then manages to flee, but this was all part of the plan because a camera was hidden and was recording everything he did and said. Then, when Pranav works with Shikha, they go to his office and beg him to play the video, but he refuses. The tape is instead played, and a distraught husband and his partner watch it.The following day, a taxi driver picks up four guys who have discovered Dr. Sonali and knows right away who she is. He then drives the four men to a nearby area where they are apprehended and planted into the ground like seeds. The four are then informed of the news over the phone by him. She is once more absent when they arrive at the location. They eventually discover her wrapped in a bag and leave, only to be apprehended by the board of directors and escape once more when Sonali vanishes. She enters the vehicle being driven by her husband's partner and proceeds to the hospital. After Sonali was dropped off at the hospital, the four pursue her in an automobile and arrive there a short while later. The others are left lost when Dr. Mukherjee disappears someplace inside the structure. When Sonali enters the room where Rana is being detained, the other three individuals are revealed to be doctors who are also supposed to evaluate Rana. Dr. Mukherjee, who had left to visit his wife who worked at the same hospital, joins the group shortly after. Then they torment him by giving him a cardiac shock, electrocuting him, and injecting him with needles. Sonali is then told that her husband was the one who abducted her and that the incident was a ruse to get her to comply with their demands. When everyone has returned home, the film is over and the crooks are apprehended.

A cast of over 100 artists, including Ashutosh Gowariker, Jitendra Joshi, Sulbha Arya, Swati Chitnis, and Sukanya Kulkarni, are featured in the movie. Some days prior to the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, the eldest and most cherished member of the Kamerkar family enters a coma and is placed on a ventilator. The Kamerkar family gathers each year in their ancestral village to commemorate Ganesh Chaturthi. Three days before the festival, Gajanan Karmerkar, also known as Gajju Kaka, a beloved and admired family patriarch, falls into a coma. In a hospital in Mumbai, he is given medical ventilation as life support. During a showing of his movie with Priyanka Chopra, Gajanan's nephew Raja Kamerkar, a well-known Bollywood film director, learns this information from his father, who advises Raja to head to the hospital. Raja, who is facing problems with his own father, has received a lot of kindness from Gajju Kaka. Raja informs everyone, along with the relatives in the village, as he travels to the hospital. While worrying about Gajju Kaka, his relatives are also anxious about the approaching celebrations. A time of sadness would result from Gajju Kaka's passing during the festival, ruining their festive plans.Gajju Kaka's entire family as well as his neighbours pay a visit to him in the hospital and offer Lord Ganesha prayers for a speedy recovery. While some people are pleased about Raja's impending film and his success, others are happy to see Raja at the hospital with Gajanan's wife Manda and their baby Prasanna. Everyone in the ICU is present when Raja enters, but most of them are preoccupied with matters unrelated to Gajju Kaka's health. Raja finds it amusing how the family members are reacting differently to the pandemonium around them. Prasanna is active in politics and has ambitions to win a tournament to impress his boss even during this challenging period. Meanwhile, Pritam, the village cousin of Prassana and Raja, is travelling with his uncle and family.Everyone in the family is aware that Prasanna and his father Gajanan have a problematic relationship. On the other hand, Sarika, Prasanna's sister, has a close bond with their father. Prasanna should have been there for Gajanan since, as Manda points out, he has always loved him. The employer of Prasanna fires him and replaces him with his helper. When the village family shows up, they are stunned to find that he would always be dependent on the ventilator. The family accepts Prasanna's decision to keep Gajanan on the ventilator until the following afternoon. Raja, who had issues with his own father, requests that Prasanna visit Gajanan's ward and say goodbye to him. Prasanna expresses his frustration with his father, saying that he was unable to emulate "his favourite Raja" and that Gajanan had always given preference to his sister Sarika.Lata, a cousin of Raja and Prasanna, and her husband and little boy fly in the following day from the United States. The youngster displays his family tree, which he has drawn, to them all. He inquires about Prasanna's father, and Prasanna replies that his father didn't care about him. Following their overhearing, Raja's father and Gajanan's brother remind Prasanna of his father's struggles following the birth of his narrow nostril and, in contrast to what Prasanna had previously believed, how much Gajanan loved him. As a result, Prassana changes his mind and dashes to the ward to make up with Gajanan while also pleading with the medical staff to keep his father on the ventilator. His mother, sister, and he reunite and give each other hugs. This gives Raja confidence as he works to forget his disagreement with his own dad. Gajanan smiles while still using the ventilator.Ventilator was released on 4 November 2016 and was a massive hit at the box office. Made on a budget of 3.5 crores, the movie went on to earn close to 25 crores, making it the 10th highest-grossing Marathi movie of all time in the year 2017. The plot revolves around two crooks, Veeru (Dharmendra) and Jai (Amitabh Bachchan), who are hired by a retired cop (Sanjeev Kumar) to apprehend the brutal dacoit Gabbar Singh. (Amjad Khan). Basanti and Radha, Veeru, and Jai's love interests are played by Hema Malini and Jaya Bachchan, respectively. Sholay is regarded as a classic and one of the best Indian films of all time. It came in first place in the British Film Institute's vote of the "Top 10 Indian Films of All Time" in 2002. The judges of the 50th Filmfare Awards declared it the Best Film of the Last 50 Years in 2005. Sholay is widely regarded as one of the most important and influential Indian films of all time. The film is a Dacoit Western (sometimes known as a "Curry Western"), mixing the tropes of Indian dacoit flicks, Spaghetti Westerns, and Samurai movies. Sholay is also a seminal example of a masala cinema, which combines multiple genres into a single production. Scholars have identified various themes in the picture, including the glorifying of violence, conformity to feudal ethos, the battle between societal order and mobilised usurpers, homosocial bonding, and the film's significance as a national allegory. The phrases and characters in the film were highly popular, spawning several cultural memes and becoming part of India's everyday vernacular. Mother India Mother India, directed by Mehboob Khan and starring Nargis, Sunil Dutt, Rajendra Kumar, and Raaj Kumar, is a 1957 Indian epic drama film. It is a remake of Khan's earlier film Aurat (1940), and it tells the story of a poor-stricken country lady named Radha (Nargis), who battles to raise her sons and live against a clever money-lender in the absence of her husband. The film's title was chosen to contrast with American novelist Katherine Mayo's 1927 polemical book Mother India, which condemned Indian culture. Mother India is a metaphor for India as a nation after its independence in 1947, and it alludes to a strong feeling of Indian nationalism and nation-building. The film contains numerous references to Hindu mythology, and its protagonist character has been seen as a metonymic picture of an Indian lady who embodies strong moral values and the concept of what it means to be a mother to society through self-sacrifice. While some authors regard Radha as a symbol of female liberation, others see her as a vehicle for feminine stereotypes. It was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best International Feature Film, making it the first Indian film to be nominated in that category. Pather Panchali Pather Panchali is a 1955 Indian Bengali-language drama film written and directed by Satyajit Ray and produced by the Government of West Bengal. Ray made his directorial debut with this version of Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay's 1929 Bengali novel of the same name. Pather Panchali, the first film in The Apu Trilogy, stars Subir Banerjee, Kanu Banerjee, Karuna Banerjee, Uma Dasgupta, Pinaki Sengupta, and Chunibala Devi and shows the boyhood travails of the protagonist Apu and his elder sister Durga among the tough village life of their poor family. Critics have complimented it for its realism, humanism, and soul-stirring qualities, while some have criticised it for its plodding pace and for romanticising poverty. Scholars have remarked on the film's poetic quality and realism (inspired by Italian neorealism), representation of poverty and minor pleasures of daily life, and usage of what scholar Darius Cooper refers to as the "epiphany of wonder," among other themes. Pather Panchali is regarded as a watershed moment in Indian cinema since it was one of the films that launched the Parallel cinema movement, which advocated authenticity and social realism. It is often featured in lists of the greatest films ever made. Mughal-E-Azam Mughal-e-Azam is a 1960 Indian epic historical drama film created and directed by K. Asif. It follows the love affair between Mughal Prince Salim (who went on to become Emperor Jahangir) and Anarkali, a court dancer, and stars Prithviraj Kapoor, Dilip Kumar, Madhubala, and Durga Khote. Emperor Akbar, Salim's father, disapproves of the relationship, resulting in a fight between father and son. Mughal-e-Azam was the first black-and-white Hindi film to be digitally colored, as well as the first film in any language to be re-released theatrically. The film is widely regarded as a genre landmark, with critics praising its grandeur and attention to detail, as well as the performances of its actors. (especially that of Madhubala, who earned a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress). Scholars have praised the film's portrayal of timeless themes, but have questioned its historical veracity. Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India Ashutosh Gowariker's Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India is a 2001 Indian Hindi epic sports drama film. Aamir Khan produced the film, and he stars in it alongside debutant Gracy Singh and British actors Rachel Shelley and Paul Blackthorne. Set in 1893, during the late Victorian period of India's colonial British Raj, the film follows the residents of a village in Central India who, burdened by high taxes and several years of drought, are challenged to a game of cricket as a wager to avoid paying the taxes they owe by an arrogant British Indian Army officer. The villagers have the difficult challenge of learning a new game and competing for victory. Lagaan was screened at various international film festivals and received numerous awards. After Mother India (1957) and Salaam Bombay!, it was the third Indian film to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. (1988). With eight prizes, Lagaan became the most-awarded picture at the 47th Filmfare Awards. Salaam Bombay! Mira Nair directed, co-wrote, and co-produced Salaam Bombay!, a 1988 Indian Hindi-language drama film. Sooni Taraporevala, Nair's creative collaborator, wrote the screenplay. Nair's first feature film was directed by him. The film highlights the daily life of youngsters living in Bombay (now Mumbai), India's largest metropolis, in slums. Shafiq Syed, Raghuvir Yadav, Anita Kanwar, Nana Patekar, Hansa Vithal, and Chanda Sharma star in it. The spirit of Bombay's street youngsters and how they lived inspired Nair to make the film. The film was India's second film submission to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best International Feature Film at the 61st Academy Awards. The New York Times named the film one of "the best 1,000 movies ever made." Mera Naam Joker  Mera Naam Joker is a 1970 Indian love drama film directed, edited, and produced by Raj Kapoor through his production company R. K. Films, and written by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas. The film is one of the longest in Indian movie history. Mera Naam Joker is the second and, so far, final Indian film to feature two intermissions. An abbreviated version was produced in the 1980s and had a huge box office hit. Kapoor described it as his favourite film, with great philosophical depth and purpose. Today, the film is recognised as one of Kapoor's finest works, with film critics calling it a "misunderstood masterpiece." The film later became a cult classic and is considered one of Raj Kapoor's best films as well as one of the best Bollywood films of the twentieth century. Aradhana Shakti Samanta directed Aradhana, a 1969 Indian Hindi love drama film starring Sharmila Tagore and Rajesh Khanna. At the 17th Filmfare Awards, it received the Filmfare Award for Best Film. Tagore received her one and only Filmfare Best Actress Award. Aradhana's enormous popularity led to two remakes: the Tamil film Sivagamiyin Selvan (1974) and the Telugu film Kannavari Kalalu (1976). (1974). This film is included in Rajesh Khanna's 17 consecutive hit films between 1969 and 1971, by adding the two hero flicks Marayada and Andaz to his 15 straight solo hits from 1969 to 1971. Aradhana was a box office success in both India and the Soviet Union. The film's concept was inspired by the 1946 film To Each His Own.
